Love and Memory Cover Reveal (+Happy Deals)

I read Water Princess, Fire Prince by Kendra Ardnek in it’s first edition cover and loved it to pieces, then absolutely gawked over the new cover for it and the second one, so today I’m particularly excited to share the cover for the third book with you. ❤

First, a snippet from the book. 😉

It wasn’t far to Petra’s room where he flicked on the light. There she was, sprawled across her bed, a pillow hugged to her chest. Reuben smiled to himself as he walked over to the bed, sat down at her side, took her hand, and closed his eyes.

Immediately, he plunged into her dream. The reality of her bedroom stripped away into the castle where they’d lived for thirty years in Rizkaland. She stood in the courtroom, their fellow kings and queens around them, the people spread before them. But everything wavered with a strange, filmy quality. Only she was solid.

So it always was when one walked waking into the other’s dream.

If you’ve read the first two books, you know this is going to be hard and lovely. 😭🥰

Now take a look at the cover…

When a Queen forgets,

Her enemies rejoice in her weakness.

But when the Queen remembers,

They tremble in fear.

When a King loves,

His country rejoices with him.

But when that love is broken.

The land is broken, too.

Can Water and Fire join again?

Can Love and Memory be restored?

They spent years in Rizkaland. They ruled the land, forged friendships, built families, and made it their home. But then it was time to return to Earth, and their former lives just don’t fit anymore. Clara and Andrew struggle to reevaluate their priorities when hundreds of miles separate them. Reuben and Petra are lost as they seek a balance between their old friendship and their Rizkan marriage. And Ashna and Noraeto never planned to return, so what life is there for them on Earth?

When the unthinkable happens and a new enemy arises, they’re all thrown back into Rizkaland, into a young prince’s rise to power and struggle to build alliances for his kingdom. But they no longer belong in their other world, either.

Are good memories too much to bear?”

A New Cover for My First Book!

Guys, I am sooo excited to share a brand new cover with you all today. 😉 It’s doubly exciting for me because this cover belongs to the new edition of my very first book. ❤

After six years (and some increasingly bad misprints 😛 ), I decided it was time for a change.

Perry Elisabeth did an AMAZING job capturing the spirit of the story, and I couldn’t be happier. 😀

❤ ❤

About the book

They were silent a moment each thinking of the strange clue and even stranger signature. Anna was first to speak. “It seems like some sort of treasure hunt.”

A boring summer vacation turns into an exciting adventure when Anna and her brother David discover a mysterious note. Soon they are hunting for clues, solving puzzles, and cracking codes–all on their own farm!

Releasing May 25th! Add on Goodreads.

Thank you for all your support these past six years of being a published author. It’s been an amazing journey, and revisiting the beginning like this only reminds me of you all. ❤

Dust to Flame Cover Reveal!

I’ve fallen down on the job of keeping track of one of my favorite authors, apparently. When Hope Ann announced her upcoming book Dust to Flame, I was surprised and delighted. 😉

Today I get to share the (gorgeous) cover with y’all!

I’m really fan of the fonts. They look as if they’ve been intricately carved out. I also love the faded arches in the background, and I’m very curious about the title.

Okay, but I should probably just show it to you. XD

Here you go…

When you defeat everything life hurls at you, it’s a perfectly legitimate move to rub your conquest in the faces of those who sneered at your suffering.

Rafe, a former street-lad who clawed his way to the glittering life of a story-actor, has been waiting. But from the moment he sprung from his carriage into the gritty dust of Cainth, life has not gone Rafe’s way.

Unexpectedly dragged into a web of greed, treachery, and stolen rift powers, Rafe intends to do what he has always done. Survive.

At least that was the plan before he accidentally protected a child.

Before he accidentally gained the powers of an immortal.

And before he caught himself accidentally slipping toward the deadliest mistake possible.

The mistake of letting one’s self care for another.

Welcome to the world of…

My Favorite Cover Reveal (Ever)

Cover reveal todaaaaayyyy!!! ❤

Early last year, Sarah Grace Grzy published her debut novella Live Without You. I got to beta-read/review the book and interview her, which was quite a lot of fun, so when I heard she needed people to help with a cover reveal I was excited.

And then it hit my inbox.

❤ ❤ ❤

I kinda geeked out. It’s seriously one of the most beautiful covers I’ve ever seen, and I totally wasn’t ready for it. 😉

Are you ready? 😀

Isn’t it gorgeous?!! There is so much going on in this cover, but I think my favorite elements are the dimension and little details of the silhouettes and that lovely shooting star. Also, THE COLORS. This one is a going to be a beauty in paperback, for sure. ❤

Here’s a nice 3D mockup to give you the idea. 😉

Okay, I’ll stop drooling over it now and give you the synopsis and cool things like that…

Never Say Goodbye by Sarah Grace Grzy

Genre: Contemporary // Romance // Inspirational

Release date: Spring 2020

They say time heals all wounds. But he was finding it a poor painkiller.

Tyler Collens has seen grief and loss in his years of experience as a paramedic—but he never expected it to touch his life in such a personal way. The death of his wife eighteen months ago shook his steady world and changed him in more ways than he can count. Time and routine have steadied his feet, and he looks toward the future as he raises his infant daughter—but the past has a tighter grip on him than he knows.

Alyvia Emmerson has never been certain of who she is or where she belongs. Her dad’s abandonment as a teen broke a fragile piece of her heart, but ten years later, she has moved on. Living on her own, she at last has a project to devote herself to: revitalizing a shabby bookstore. But she didn’t count on her dream job revealing the shattered pieces of herself she thought mended long ago.

In this sophomore novella featuring beloved characters from Live Without You, Sarah Grace Grzy explores themes of grief and hope in a story that touches both the heart and spirit.” (from Goodreads)

Congratulations to Sarah Grace on her upcoming release and having one of the most beautiful book covers. Ever. ❤

What do you think of it? Anyone who’s read LWY, are you excited that Tyler has his own book? 😀

Cover Reveal! (Spoiler: It’s Gorgeous)

Earlier this year, I finally got to read a long anticipated dystopian story by a fellow indie author. I enjoyed it (read my review here) and immediately started looking forward to the sequel.

I thought it couldn’t get any cooler than the first book’s cover. Just look at it…

The gray and blue color scheme, the FONTS, the drop of water. ❤

And then the author asked for bloggers to help reveal the cover for book two.

And then she emailed it to us.

And my brain exploded.

Because LOOK AT THAT. It has so much going on, and I love the movement of the water. It also makes the first cover even more interesting. 😉

Here’s the synopsis…

Katherine Holliday has left behind her life in the Federation. She is ready to start a new one with Matthew and the Intolerants. But it isn’t long before the Underground leaders send her on a mission that takes her back to the Federation. Katherine finds herself in City 1, with the help of new and unexpected allies, in an attempt to locate information that could help the Underground escape the Council’s battle plan called Project Endgame.

But the Federation has changed and the Council is more desperate than ever. While back in the Federation, Katherine uncovers a tangled web of deception and manipulation. Haynes isn’t the only one with secrets, and the question of who to trust becomes harder to answer.

Underground releases August 24th, 2019 (Eeeeek!)

Ashley Bogner is a nerdy author who lives in Utah with her nerdy theologian husband who may possibly own more books than she does. She is a homeschool graduate who wrote her first “novel” when she was in fifth grade (which was really a thirty-page story about talking cats she is grateful no one will ever read). It’s a rare occasion when she isn’t writing—she works as a technical writer at her day job and writes novels in her spare time.

In 2017, she published her debut novel, Reintegration, a dystopian novel for teens. The sequel, Underground, is scheduled for release later in 2019. Ashley writes young adult science fiction and fantasy novels that explore themes of sacrifice, redemption, and hope.

Ashley may or may not be the stereotypical author who loves fancy coffee drinks, chocolate, and lengthy chats about her favorite books.

Something Old, Something New (Cover Reboots!)

Confession time: the cover of a book really does influence what I think about it.

But that’s okay.

It’s just like the frosting on the cake influencing how you think of the cake, right? Or the wrapping paper heightening your excitement for the gift inside…

Book covers are probably my top visual art form. I collect my favorite covers on a Goodreads shelf (or in a computer file), browse through covers on Goodreads and at the library, and enjoy just how perfectly the cover goes with the book inside it.

Because 900% of the time, the book cover is pretty much perfect. Then there are just a few times where the cover gets a reboot and I suddenly realize that now it’s perfect.

Like with this series…

I loved the first cover (especially that bent paper corner ❤ ), but the new one is so much more on point for the genre, has the adorablest fonts, and I’m a fan of the drawn style.

Or like with this one…

…where I actually can’t decide between them and find both pretty perfect. 😀 I own the second of these two, especially since the sequel is adorable in that edition.

Today, I’m excited to share cover reboots for the first two books in The Chronicles of Alice and Ivy series by Kellyn Roth. Take a look at this. 😀

Editions #1, #2, and #3. Look at the difference!!

Seriously, I love this so much. 😀

When I first read The Dressmaker’s Secret three or four years ago, it was with the first edition cover. It’s super exciting to see how this series has evolved, especially since the new covers reflect updated insides too. 😀

So, what do I love most about the new covers?

The greenness! ❤ We need more green books, honestly.

The tagline. Wow.

People! I love covers with people on them.

I can guess right of the bat that it’s historical fiction now, so that’s a plus. 😀

It has a similar feel to the first book but at the same time, it’s all its own.

I can already feel how lonely the MC might be in this book just from looking at it.

There is ivy growing on the fence. Ivy, y’all.

They’re certainly pretty awesome. 😀 Congratulations to Kellyn on these lovely covers! Follow her blog for release dates and more book details. 😀

And tell me, do you have a favorite cover makeover?

A Shiny Thing!!! (A.K.A. Cover Reveal)

Guys, a thing happened. A shiny thing. 😀

Today I’m going to show you the AMAZING cover for “The Night Archers”!!!!

But before I do, I just want to tell you… This has been a long journey. I had a lot of doubts about the story, a lot of roadblocks both emotionally and logistically, and times I felt like quitting. God stuck with me all the way through this, and I love how He keeps teaching me through the stories I’m trying to tell. 😉

So today I’m very relieved, grateful, and EXCITED to share the cover and synopsis with you. 😀

Do you want to see it?

It is sooo pretty.

And a bit epic.

There’s fire.

And greenness.

And Gavynn, a character I’m sure you’re going to love.

A failed test. Ruined crops. Night archers.

The war against the rebels rages, and Riverside’s famous cavalry is called to the King’s aid, leaving behind the women, children, and Gavynn.

Gavynn thinks he knows why he was the only man left behind. Every day in the village is a painful reminder. But storms, sickness, and sudden danger threaten his people, forcing him into an unexpected role.

Could his failure be a blessing in disguise?

Look What’s Coming! (Cover Reveal + Giveaway)

Remember that time a review copy saved me from the agonies of a terrible library book? I had loved the first book in that series, Shallows by Denver Evans, and book two, Phantoms, was just as good. 😀

Guess what??!! Book three is coming out in just a month, and I get to show you the cover! ❤ ❤

But first, I splurged this month and bought myself paperbacks of the first books. Aren’t they gorgeous?!! 😀

Okay, cover reveal time for real now.

*drum roll*

*jelly roll*

*spring roll*

Eeeee! I love the landscape and everything, but LOOK AT THE CUTE PEOPLE!!! 😀 This one is gonna be so amazing in paperback.

About the book:

Emerson and Saria find themselves drawn into investigating a conspiracy larger than any the Cayan Islands–or even the mainland–has ever seen.

Legends is a clean YA fantasy novel with elements of paranormal and romance. It is the last book in the trilogy.

In celebration of the shiny cover, Denver offered to answer a few questions about this book. (She’s so awesome. 😀 Thanks, Denver!)

Who is your favorite character in Legends?

It’s a little hard to pick a favorite character in this one. Emerson is pretty high up there, of course, but I really like Saria’s spunk. I guess it’s sort of a tie between the two of them? There are also some pretty fun side characters… So hard to decide. I’ll stick with the tie, I guess.

Also, if you’re an Emria shipper, you’re going to enjoy this book. Just saying.

Was it different writing about them on the mainland after the first two books taking place mostly at sea?

They’re at sea quite a bit in the first half of the book, hopping between islands, trying to stay one step ahead of pursuers while trying to help Ianthe (the Pirate King). When they’re on the mainland, though I had fun with taking them through different geography. The Ageless are a little out of their element on land, but they bravely make the best of it. Everyone finds the woods a little creepy, so it was fun creating that atmosphere. So yes, it was different, but a fun kind of different.

If this trilogy were a movie, who would you cast as the main characters?

From the very beginning of book 1, Emerson has been Andrew Garfield, hands down. Saria has been a little harder for me to pinpoint, but I’m thinking Odeya Rush. To be honest, Carrie Fisher would be a great face for Emerson’s mother. *sad eyes* Possibly Lucas Till for Elton (although I’m really having a hard time picturing him with a mustache…) And for Flake, I think a younger-looking David Harewood with some hair dye and a set of marvelous clear blue contact lenses would be super cool!

And last but not least, she’s offering a giveaway of the entire trilogy on Kindle! Enter HERE.

I can’t wait to read this book, and now I really need it to be a movie too. 😉

Have you read any of the books in the Shallows trilogy?

Behold! A Cover!

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the moment you’ve been waiting for…

My novel Kiera has a cover!!! 😀

Perry Elisabeth Design did such an amazing job on it. ❤ I seriously can’t wait to see it in print. 😀

I wanted this cover to look unique and pretty but not romance novel-ish. Which is a pretty tall order, actually. XD But she handled it masterfully, and I’m very pleased with the results.

Do you wanna see it?

You can see it…

Kiera final cover

“Kiera is looking forward to her eighteenth birthday. The official end of school, a party with her best friend, and chocolate cake. A sudden military draft, no possible exemptions, had never crossed her mind.

Kiera is terrified! Getting drafted would mean leaving her family, her little friend Jade—life as she knows it.

A surprising offer from Brennan Stewart just might be the answer to her prayers, but an even worse trial leaves her with one question…

If God truly loves her, why did this tragedy happen?”

Kiera is a YA dystopian novel releasing late June 2018. (That’s next month–EEK!) You can add it as to-read on Goodreads here.

So, there it is!! ❤ What do you think?

I have some dear bloggers and social media users helping me celebrate by sharing the cover sometime today as well.

The Stealthmaster’s Shadow Cover Reveal!

Do you hear me screaming happily all the way from here??!! I mean, if you live all the way in Antarctica and you can hear me, either I’m really loud or penguins are really quiet. #deepthoughts

Back to why I was screaming… Today I get to share the cover of Hope Ann’s upcoming book, The Stealthmaster’s Shadow, fourth in the Legends of Light series. 😀 😀 I’ve loved all the previous books I’ve read, so I’m super excited to read the next installment.

Here are three reasons why…

1. The Blurb

It’s ten confounded years since the war ended.

Ten years since the Prince won the war and pardoned the rebels.

And left.

The Prince left, but lasting peace never had a chance to begin.

As a Stealthmaster, Verus is determined to complete the task the Prince left, whatever the cost. Traitors, needlessly vague governors, and threatening rumors are all part of a standard mission. Verus will bring peace to what is left of the world, one city and village at a time. According to the governor’s daughter, the war was never about a physical peace in the first place, but what does she or any of the other Followers know? They weren’t there during the war.

They didn’t see the horrors Tauscher spread over the land or the scars that will never fade.

Commandeering the task of a former soldier, Verus presents himself to the governor of Nerva. Eventually he’ll need to undermine the man, but even Stealthmasters need money, and a mission to discover the owner of a misshapen slipper shouldn’t be difficult.

Until the ambassador from Zahavia appears.

Suddenly face to face with nightmares from the past, Verus struggles to help those plunged into danger, from the governor’s newest prisoner to a serving lad to an infuriating woman he’s taken to calling princess. Fleeing will only make the enemy stronger. But staying…

Staying could doom them all.

2. Some Quotes

I haven’t read this book yet, but I can already tell from the quotes that this is going to be a hilarious and heartfelt read.

TSS quote 1

What a rogue! XD

TSS quote 2

Ominous and snarky. 😀

TSS quote 3

Oh, dear!! 😉

3. The Cover 😉

Lights, camera, gorgeousness!

(This fantastic cover was designed by Kate Flournoy.)

So now all we have left to do is stare at this lovely cover until June 1st when the book releases. *sighs happily* (Apparently, you can preorder it HERE.)
