I don’t have any Christmas traditions right now but growing up my siblings and I would open stockings Christmas night, which gave us something to look forward to at the end of the day.
I have kind of a love/hate relationship with snow. It is beautiful when it first falls, but it is a mess to trudge through, especially if our car is broken and we need to walk into work at 6:30 in the morning.

Aww, that’s special! Yessss… I’ve seen my fair share of terrible storms when I lived in PNW for several years, so I can relate. 😉 I hope this comment isn’t based on a current situation and all is well with you and yours.

Hehe! Well, sort of! Our car has been in the shop going on two plus weeks now, but thankfully this past week a friend has let us borrow their car. So that is nice.

Aw, phew. That’s a blessing, though I’m sorry about the broken car.

Oh fun!
Okay, so one of my favorite Christmas traditions is watching the Polar Express at night with my family (and a cup of hot chocolate, because actually, there’s this big scene in the movie with hot chocolate lol.)
As for snow, I love the idea (does that count? lol) We don’t currently live in an area that gets snow *sobs* But in the past, I remember visiting the mountains and playing with my dad and siblings in the snow (plus, it did kinda snow in one area where we lived, and throwing snowballs was fun. Our chickens would chase after the balls thinking we were throwing food. They were greatly disappointed when they found out it was only frozen water XD.)
And…I already follow this blog so ‘done’ 😉

Aww, I love that! I recently saw the movie for the first time, and I love the scene you’re talking about. 😉
Haha, definitely counts. I’m in the same snowless boat myself. 😉

Oh cool! What did you think of the movie as a whole?
Well, I can see snow on our distant mountains XD.

I thought it was really cute (though a little spooky? with the guy on top of the train), and I especially loved the Christmas wrapping system.
Ah, spoken like a Tolkien character.

Yeah, that scene was rather weird. I’m not quite sure they wrote that in? Kinda like that strange dance sequence in White Christmas. It didn’t really fit with the story.

Christmas Kickoff is usually a few days after thanksgiving (scandalous!) and we have home made sourdough pizza and watch It’s a Wonderful Life. After that, we can “officially” start listening to Christmas music and decorating, though the music we may have been doing already since mid-october.

Cool!! We used to make sourdough pizza until we went completely gluten-free *sobs* It was the best.

What a wonderful idea! I love snow, but since I live in southern California I sadly never see it!

Ohh this sounds so fun!! Overall, I love snow and how beautiful and magical it is. I AM glad that spring comes right after it, and I couldn’t live in a place where it only snowed lol, but it is so pretty!!

I love snow! Especially since we don’t get it very often where I live. When I was younger, one of my favorite Christmas traditions was making gingerbread houses.

That sounds lovely! I’m hoping to make some mini gingerbread houses from scratch this year.

Ooh! My favorite Christmas tradition is our appetizer night in early December. We have a fun finger food/appetizer type dinner, Christmas cookies + ice cream for dessert, watch a Christmas movie and wrap family gifts for our relatives. It’s a fun way to kick off the Holiday season!

Oooh fun!!
My favorite Christmas tradition happens on Christmas morning. We always have the same breakfast of cinnamon rolls and little sausages, then my dad reads Luke 2. ❤
As for love or hate snow, I'm leaning more towards love…I don't love being cold, but I couldn't imagine winter without snow!

Eeks, I’m so late to the party!
1) I adore going to the tree farm with my family and picking out our Christmas tree. That kind of symbolizes the start of the Christmas season for me (we normally go right after Thanksgiving). Also looove Christmas lights!
2) Since where we live gets a nice, moderate amount of snow, I love it! That is, so long as it doesn’t disrupt any special plans that involve traveling.
4) Done!
Thanks for this, Kate!
