Join me in welcoming author Angela Watts to Once Upon an Ordinary! *sets off celebratory fireworks*
I’m honored to be here, Kate! *waves*
Angela, tell us a bit about yourself.
In short, I’m a 16 year old, homeschooled Christian who’s been writing things since I could scribble. I live with my family at our ranch, Step By Step Sanctuary, in Tennessee. Also, I’m actually a wizard in disguise seeking to conquer the world (in the name of Daffy Duck).
What first made you decide you wanted to be an author?
I didn’t exactly decide that… I just always knew I would write. Wherever God would take me. I didn’t find out about Indie publishing till I was 15 years old and had completed my first novel. Around that time, I realized, hey! I could actually share my writing with the world! And I believe that is what God wills me to do. 🙂
Congratulations on publishing! May we have an introduction to The Thief, The Damsel, and The Dragon?
“… the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.” ~ Psalms 91:13
Edward Prosner is going to steal from the small town mayor of Fall Springs, North Carolina. He’s got a flawless plan of action and is determined to return honor and justice to his father’s good name. The problem he faces? He needs a date for the mayor’s dinner party.

Lucy Levitt is a huge romantic at heart, but with her family’s ranch and her part-time job, she has no time for dating. She believes God will place her soulmate in her life when the time is right. When the new man in town asks her out, how can she say no?
—
The first date seems ordinary enough, but then they begin to realize that they can’t fight their dragons alone.
What is your favorite aspect of the ordinary life God has blessed you with?
All of it. I love the ordinary moments of waking up, drinking coffee, and going outside in the morning to feed up the animals. I love the ‘ordinary’ beauty in watching the squirrels outside the kitchen window, or the way the sun never fails to set, or how I can always count on my nieces being ready for a hug (unless, ya know, they decide to run for it and I have to chase ’em for it. 😉 ). Life is precious and even the mundane things are not to be forgotten.
Any plans for further projects?
I plan on finishing my novel “Seek” for publishing by the end of 2018. Besides that, I’ll be working on JUMP (for publishing!) and other assorted stories.
Thank you so much for coming!
Thank you so much for havin’ me, Kate! I wish you all a fantastic summer!
