Mostly Reading, Chance of Writing

Mostly Reading, Chance of Writing

I took a hiatus last week from Instagram and Facebook, and between that and finishing up a job, I had a nice time of rest and creativity. ๐Ÿงก

I finally finished the book I’ve been stuck in for two months (wowza!), then discovered my reading slump was quite over and started reading through some of the indie books I’ve picked up on Kindle.

Crook Q and its supplemental novella Prisoner 120518 (both by Rachel Newhouse) reignited my love for the Red Rain series and kept me up late a couple nights. ๐Ÿ˜‰

For Elise by Hayden Wand was a really cute read for spooky season, and I finally got to experience Should We Tell Her? by Lillian Keith. (*sobs*)

I also started this deep and beautiful remix of Little Women called So Many Beginnings by Bethany C. Morrow. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘ It’s one I need to really savor, so for now it hangs out with the fall decorations a little. ๐Ÿ˜‰

In my plan for the week, I promised myself that I must write, but each day passed with no new words. Until Saturday rolled around and my writing plans were further encouraged by a lovely rainy day, and I completed an outline of my new project. ๐Ÿงก

How was your week?

  1. Oh dear, my book made you cry *frantically starts handing you tissue and chocolate*.

Hooray for completing a story outline! I hope the writing goes well. So Many Beginnings looks really good (and why is the cover just so aesthetically pleasing with fall decorations??)

My week went well! I also took a break from devices and it felt so good โค

  2. My week was . . . let me think. Well, the last two days of it were crazy with nieces and nephews over and volleyball games. And earlier in the week I was busy with this and that and the other. But it was good.

I haven’t read Lillian-Keith’s book, but it sounds lovely.
I’ve been in a reread or reading older books mood for a bit, but I do enjoy indie books. ๐Ÿ™‚

Yay for outlining! And onward to writing! (You can come join the King’s Daughters’ Writing Camp if you want.)

    1. I’m glad it was a good week. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I also seem to remember you getting a certain book ready to publish… ๐Ÿ˜‰

      Ah, that’s cool.

Yesss! Loving the writing. Aw, thanks for the invite. I need to decide what my plans for next month are.
