January, a month full of beginnings and course corrections and wondering about more course corrections. 😉
This month’s full plate was jam-packed with special foods (cheesecake, peanut butter cookies, gluten-free cake, etc.) since it was our most birthday heavy month. 😉
Anyway, here’s a quick update on my full plate last month…

Pleasure read:
The City of Ember (five stars, read-aloud)
The Wreck and Rise of Whitson Mariner (four stars)
Annie’s Life in Lists (four stars)
I also binged on picture books (yes, it’s true) and read The Day the Crayons Came Home, The Day the Crayons Quit, Sheep 101, Counting on Katherine, Thirty Minutes Over Oregon, and Can I Be Your Dog?.
Answered:
Emails 😛

Googled:
An author’s pen name

British way of writing dates
Average age of mothers when they have first child
List of classic books

Wrote:
12,471 words on “Imperfect”!

Some random essays

Miscellaneoused:
Celebrated the last day of peppermint shakes with a sister and friends
Wrote at a coffee shop with sibs
Made a thank you card
Weeded the yard
Went to the library three times in one week!
Loved “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” with my family ❤
Bought way too many books (I’ll post about later)
Visited a Little Free Library (and got us terrific-ly turned around on the way XD)
I also started a new devotional and Bible reading plan, celebrated three family birthdays, formatted my new short story as a minibook, and ventured into visual arts with a sketch, a painting, and trying to take better pictures. 😉
This month, I’m looking forward to wrapping up the first draft of “Imperfect”, sharing a collab and an author interview with you, and possibly making more thank you cards because that’s still a goal. 😉
How was your January? What are you looking forward to this month?
Sounds awesome! January was a looong month now that I think about it. Anyhoo, that’s awesome! And was the collab with Anna cuz… *tries not to burst*

You had a busy and productive January. I started reading “Villette” by Charlotte Bronte”. My twin is also reading it. We try to read a chapter a day. The story is slow and dreary. it is not easy reading. We are half way through and determined to finish the book. Critics have said it is better than “Jane Eyre. We do not agree. February I intend to start an exercise with Marie Osmond’s Body Gym. I want to learn to sew. I am teaching myself Latin.

Aw, sorry! Dreary books are not fun to read. Those sounds like some great goals/activities!

I have a *slight* obsession with figure skating, so I got really excited when I was initially skimming this post and saw “Tessa and Scott ice dancing” lol! Also I love how artistic your month was. Sounds like it was full and fun!

Eeek! Highest of fives!!! I discovered how much I love figure skating/ice dancing last Winter Olympics, and ever since I’ve been a fan. 😉
Aw, thanks! It was great. 😀

Story research. 😀 Why do you ask?

I’m very involved in a special needs community (one of my closest friends has DS), so I could help you with your research if needed. 🙂 I really was just curious though. XD

Aw, thanks! Woohooo!!! Boy or girl? Name? Breed?
Our dog is doing great. He fits so well into our family, and we love him a ton. ❤ We named him Jack.
