Plate Update: Merry-go-rounds, Libraries, and New Projects

January was a month full of beginnings of new things and visits with family and friends. It was quite full. 😉

This past month’s full plate was actually a bowl of ice cream because of all the birthdays. 😉

Here’s a quick update on what I did last month. 😉

Miscellaneoused:

Survived “The Great Flu of 2018”

Went to the library three times

Celebrated “birthday week” with my family

Started online classes

Visited with super awesome relatives

I also went to the museum for the first time in forever, went on a delightful bookstore trip, joined a very special sewing group with my mom and sisters, explored the zoo with relatives, and attended a church conference on family. (Here’s a link to my favorite sermon.) And I just have to say that brainstorming a new story is really the bomb!

This next month, I’m looking forward to more classes starting up (gardening and marketing, woohoo!), heavily editing “Kiera” (*breathes deeply*), sewing more, and helping my family host a small group for church. I also just received a creative writing assignment to write the first few chapters of a new novel, so SQUEE! 😀

How was your January? What are you looking forward to this month?

  1. You sure are kept busy. Good luck with the sewing instructions. I am going to start reading books on sewing. I am going to start learning Latin and brushing up on my Italian.I enjoyed your interview with Rebekah.

    1. Indeed! 😉 Thank you for the encouragement. I’ve been having a little bit of trouble sewing on corduroy, so I’m gonna be doing some research soon too. 😉 Oh, that’s cool! I don’t know any foreign languages, though I’d love to learn one sometime. Glad you enjoyed it! Rebekah is quite fun. 😀

  2. Wow, you managed to squeeze a lot into January! It sounds busy but fun.
Me? Uh, I read a dozen books or more, planned the Widows’ Luncheon that is happening this Saturday, started teaching Writing Classes again, wrote, published my January story, and wondered where the month went. 😛

  3. Sounds like January was pretty fun. I don’t think I visited the library once. But that’s because I still had plenty of books checked out.

Also, I know I’ve also at least googled “hex code for Tardis blue”…. hehehe! Are you a fan of the show too?

    1. It was! 😉 I’m in that situation right now. I have so many books checked out, I should probably never go again. XD Have you found any new favorites lately?

Oh, that’s great. 😉 Yes, I like some of the seasons. 😀
