Plate Update: Dragons, Mexican Train, and 11k Words

Eek! It’s December already! Christmas is coming up very quickly and the New Year after that. Are you excited? I sure am! ๐Ÿ˜€

Here’s a quick update on what I did last month. As far as full plates go, this past month was a seven course meal!

My story plot

Of course, that’s just the word related stuff not to mention family celebrations, a recommitment ceremony, a wedding reception, and elections work. I was so happy to get someย writing done last month to boot! ๐Ÿ˜‰ This coming month Iโ€™m looking forward to beta-reading my siblings’ finished NaNoWriMo stories (we had two win YWP and one win the 50k!); diving into some new books I’ve been gifted with (or picked up from the library); writing more; and everything Advent and Christmas. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m also taking part in an exciting gift exchange with some internet literary friends and planning Christmas cards, gifts, and hopefully a new short story. ๐Ÿ˜‰

How was your November? How did you celebrate Thanksgiving?

  1. Yaaaaay for You Can’t Take it With You!!! Jimmy Stewart is without a doubt my favorite actor EVER! ๐Ÿ˜€

And Kiera . . . eeek!!!! So excited! We had a pretty busy month too. Trying to stay on track with school during the holidays (yeah right, like that happened! XD), frantic shopping for my cousin’s upcoming wedding, and various audio projects I am trying to finish up. ๐Ÿ™‚ I think Nov. was a crazy month for everyone!

  2. These posts are such fun to read, Kate. ๐Ÿ™‚
It does sound like a seven (at least!) course meal. ๐Ÿ˜‰ And I’m sure there was chocolate for dessert.
So, did you discover what you needed to know about the Electoral College, or should I give you a short version of the importance of it?
I think you may have gotten more writing done last month than me! November was a pitiful writing month for me. ๐Ÿ˜ฆ It was scattered here and there, hit and miss with mostly miss. This month will be a “little?” better. I think. I hope.
And yes, I’m excited about Christmas, but at the same time, not. I have too much to get done right now! I want a pause button that works. ๐Ÿ˜›

    1. Aw, thanks, Rebekah! Yes–chocolate, always. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hmm… I’m still not sure I quite understand how it works, but I do know it evens things out so California and New York don’t rule the country. ๐Ÿ˜›

Aw, sorry! But you have published another book, and TCR 6 is advancing nicely! Pause buttons are so good once in a while. ๐Ÿ˜‰
