Plate Update: Fantasy, Fortune Cookies, and 84 Emails

Plate Update: Fantasy, Fortune Cookies, and 84 Emails

This autumn (HAPPY AUTUMN, by the way!!!), I’m pretty sure my “plate” has become a Thanksgiving platter. Here’s an update on what I’ve been doing. This past month, I…

Beta-read:

Part of an early draft for an amaaaazing fantasy story. I can’t wait to finish it. 😉

Pleasure read:

The Willoughbys (three stars)

Ella Enchanted (four stars)

100 Cupboards (two stars)

Meet the Austins (three stars)

As well as some of The Book Thief and the first two books and several short stories from a Sherlock Holmes collection. No reviews yet. 😉

Answered:

Emails! (Mostly blog party related, of course)

Blog and Facebook comments

Goodreads ask-the-author questions

Googled:

Friendship quotes by Chesterton, Lewis, and Tolkien

How to Train Your Dragon 3 (too long to wait!!!)

Synonyms

Lyrics for Auld Lang Syne

How to write my name in Gallifreyan 😛

The proper size for fortune cookie messages (or in my case, writing prompts)

How to add a picture in a Goodreads status update (<img src=”image addy”/> in case you were wondering)

And of course a ton of random how-tos and a little bit of celebrity information. 😉

Wrote:

Emails!!! (I counted 84 conversations alone, and who knows how many emails each of those have.) 😉

Blog posts (the top five being Top 5 Favorite Mysteries, Top 5 Favorite Romance Reads, Jonny Jimison Interview, Top 5 Favorite Christian Fiction Books, and Top 5 Fantasy Finds)

Edited:

Blog posts 😀

Part of a younger sibling’s story.

As you can see, I’ve already nibbled into this month with an interview and a couple other blog posts. (And I finally finished The Book Thief!!! <3) I’m looking forward to more beta-reading (one a fantasy adventure and the other a really sweet looking contemporary novel); finishing up more library hopefuls (Hello, Dickens); and editing the last few parts of “The Twin Arrows” so the world can finally see them. 😛

I also need to brainstorm another short story (if I have any creative juices left) and decide whether or not to do NaNoWriMo. 😉 And who knows what else I’ll find heaped onto my plate (or platter, rather)!

How was your September? Are you doing NaNoWriMo? 😉

  1. You might think that if our “plates” got too overloaded, things would fall off, but alas, I fear that will not be the case, for the plates turn into larger plates or platters. *sigh* So much for making our “to-do” list smaller. 😉 But perhaps a sibling or friend might be inclined to have less on their plate and you can share. 🙂

Seriously though, you’ve done a lot this past month.
My month? Writing as much as possible, editing, planning blog posts for a certain blog party, hosting the fore mentioned party, answering emails by the dozen. No, I’m not going to count them! I’ve gotten a little reading in here and there. Celebrated my niece’s 10th birthday! Worked on projects, babysat, and worked on memorizing 2 Tim. 2. Yep, I’ve been busy. 😉

    1. 😉 Yes, the plate is ever growing, isn’t it? I do love it when someone volunteers to help out with dessert. 😉 You did a ton for the blog party!

Wow, you have been busy! Sounds delightfully so, though. 😉 I got to celebrate two birthdays last month as well, and our church had its annual family camp which was awesome. 😉
